Abstract
Türk Hikâyeciliğinin önemli kalemlerinden olan Kenan Hulusi Koray, hikâyeciliğimizde Amerikan ve korku türü bağlamında hem yol açıcı hem de geliştirici rolünü üstlenir. Bu üretim ve yeni türler denemesi bazı değişimleri de beraberinde getirir. Koray hikâyesini geliştirir, değiştirir ve konularını farklılaşır, ancak sanatı hep üretkendir. Diğer taraftan yaşadığı devir ve olaylar sanatında önemli bir yer tutar. Yaşamı boyunca savaş atmosferi içinde yaşar. Bundan ötürü hikâyelerinde savaş olgusuna dair izlere rastlamak mümkündür. Birinci Dünya Savaşı ve Kurtuluş Savaşı anıların yanı sıra duyumlar düzleminde hikâyelerinde yer bulur. İkinci Dünya Savaşı yıllarında yazdığı hikâyelerinde ise bu bahislerin yerini gündem eksenli konular alır. Bu durum okuyucularına, devrin algısının yanında geçmiş ile an arasındaki farkları anlamasında yararlı olur. Kenan Hulusi Koray dönemine ayna olan bir hikâye yazarı olarak edebiyat tarihimizde yer bulmuştur. Gazeteciliğinin ve türlü şiir grupları ile olan yakınlıkları ile de hikâyelerinde izi sürülebilen bir atmosfer yaratmayı başarmıştır.

Abstract
Kenan Hulusi Koray, one of the important writers of Turkish storytelling, takes on the role of both pioneer and developer in the context of American and horror genres. This production and experimentation with new genres brings along some changes. Koray develops and changes his stories and differentiates his subjects, but his art is always productive. On the other hand, the period and events he lived in have an important place in his art. He lives in the atmosphere of war throughout his life. Therefore, it is possible to find traces of the phenomenon of war in his stories. The First World War and the War of Independence find a place in his stories on the plane of sensations as well as memories. In the stories he wrote during the Second World War, however, these mentions are replaced by agenda-orientated topics. This situation helps his readers to understand the differences between the past and the present as well as the perception of the period. Kenan Hulusi Koray has found a place in our literary history as a story writer who mirrors his period. He managed to create an atmosphere that can be traced in his stories with his journalism and his closeness with various poetry groups.
