Abstract

Nazan Bekiroğlu son dönem Türk edebiyatının önde gelen yazarlarındandır. Roman, hikâye, deneme gibi birçok edebî türle okur karşına çıkan Bekiroğlu, ince eleyip sık dokuyan üslupçu kimliğiyle tanınmıştır. Ancak son dönem eserlerinde üsluptan ziyade temaya ağırlık verdiğini söyleyebileceğimiz Nazan Bekiroğlu’nun son romanı olan Mücellâ’da bu durumu açık bir şekilde görmek mümkündür.

Nazan Bekiroğlu, Mücellâ’nın durgun bir su gibi yatağını hiç yormadan, zorlamadan akıp giden hayatının etrafında birçok kadının hikâyesini anlattığı bu eserinde, özellikle 1950’li yıllarda ülkemiz kadınlarının aile yaşamı, sosyal hayatı ve iş hayatına mercek tutar.

Eserin başkahramanı Mücellâ, henüz doğmadan babasını kaybetmiş ve otoriter bir annenin dizinin dibinde büyümüştür. En büyük korkusu babasız bir kız çocuğunu büyütmek olan bu anne için sokak tehlikelerle doludur ve kızı için en güvenli yer evidir. Bu anlayış Mücellâ’nın hayatına keskin sınırlar çizerken hemen yanı başında, dayısının kızı Filiz, bambaşka bir hayat yaşar. Aslında Mücellâ ile yaşıt olan Filiz, onun gibi babasını kaybetmiş, annesiyle yaşayan ve aynı mahallede hayatını sürdüren bir genç kızdır. Mücellâ’nın elinden alınanlar onu, âdeta kendi hayatının nesnesi konumuna getirirken Filiz, hayatının komutasını kimseye bırakmayarak kendi yolunu kendi çizmiştir.

Bu makalede Mücellâ ve Filiz’in, aynı sosyal çevrede aynı şartlar ve imkânlar dâhinde başlayan hayatlarının çevresel faktörler ve özelde anne tutumuyla nasıl farklılaştığı irdelenmeye çalışılacaktır.

Bekiroglu who meets her readers with various literary genne like novel, story or essay is known with her hypercritical style of identity.But in her recent works, we can say that she gave importance to the theme rather than wording and it is clearly possible to see this situation in her last novel, Mucella.

Nazan Bekiroglu tells the stories of many women around Mucella’s life that flows without straining her bed like stagnant water and she holds a lens on family, social and working life the women of our country especially in 1950s.

The protagonist of the novel, Mucella has lost her father before she was born and has grown up with her authoritarian mother. The street is full of dangers according to this mother whose biggest fear is to grow up a daughter without a father and also the safest place for her is their house. While this mentality draws sharp boundaries to Mucella’s life, her cousin Filiz lives a completely different life right there beside her.

In fact Filiz is a girl who is the same age as Mucella and she has lost her father, lives with her mother like Mucella in the same neighborhood. While the things that was taken from Mucella make her the object of her life, Filiz draws her own way without leaving the control of her life to anybody.

In this article, in our analysis, we will try to examine how the lives of Mucella and Filiz, who are the characters of the novel, started in the same social environment under the same conditions end possibilities, are shaped differently by environmental factors by the mother attitude in private.
