Abstract
Günümüz yazarlarından Nermin Yıldırım’ın Rüyalar Anlatılmaz romanı yazarın psikoloji ile edebiyat ilişkisini belirgin olarak ortaya koyduğu bir romandır. Roman Eyüp’ün rüya zannederek bastırdığı gerçeklerin ortaya çıkması üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Barselona’da yaşayan Eyüp, yaşadığı uyku problemleri ve sıkıntı veren rüyalar için bir psikiyatra başvurur. Doktor Eyüp’e rüyalarını yazmasını önerir. Eyüp rüyalarını uyanır uyanmaz yazmaya başlar. Bunlar genellikle çocukluk hatıralarını barındıran rüyalardır. Eyüp’ün bir gün ortadan kaybolması kurgunun hareket noktasıdır. Eşi Pilar, polisten Eyüp’ün İstanbul’a gittiğini öğrenir. Pilar, çalışma odasında telefon rehberini ararken Eyüp’ün rüyalarını yazdığı defteri bulmuştur. Hemen İstanbul’a gidip eşini bulmak ister. Yolda okumaya başladığı rüya defteri ile Eyüp’ün hayatının gizemlerine de vâkıf olmaya başlar. Eyüp’ün psikiyatri seanslarında Freud’a yaptığı sarkastik göndermeler yazarın romanı kurgularken psikolojiden ve psikiyatriden yararlandığını gösterir. Çocukluk yaşantılarının önemi burada devreye girer ve yazar kurgu içinde bütün karakterlerin geçmişine değinir. Bu açıdan bakıldığında sadece Eyüp’ün değil diğer roman kişilerinin de çocukluk travmaları incelemeye değerdir. Zira bütün karakterlerin ileriki yaşamları bu travmalar üstüne kurulmuştur. Bu çalışmada travmaların roman kişilerinin karakter oluşumundaki rolü üzerine değinilmektedir.

Abstract
One of the contemporary writers, Nermin Yıldırım's novel Rüyalar Anlatılmaz is a novel in which the author clearly reveals the relationship between psychology and literature. The novel is based on the revelation of the truths that Eyüp suppresses by mistaking them for dreams. Eyüp, who lives in Barcelona, applies to a psychiatrist for his sleep problems and troubling dreams. The doctor suggests Eyüp to write down his dreams. Eyüp starts writing his dreams as soon as he wakes up. These dreams usually contain memories of his childhood. Eyüp's disappearance one day is the starting point of the fiction. His wife Pilar learns from the police that Eyüp has gone to Istanbul. While searching the phone book in her study, Pilar finds the notebook in which Eyüp wrote down his dreams. She immediately wants to go to Istanbul to find her husband. On the way, she starts to read the dream book and begins to realize the mysteries of Eyüp's life. Eyüp's sarcastic references to Freud during his psychiatric sessions show that the author makes use of psychology and psychiatry while constructing the novel. The importance of childhood experiences comes into play here and the author touches upon the past of all the characters in the fiction. From this point of view, not only Eyüp's childhood traumas but also those of the other characters in the novel are worth analyzing. Because the later lives of all the characters are based on these traumas. This study focuses on the role of traumas in the character formation of novel characters.
