Rıfkî Mehmed Efendi, XIX. yüzyılın ilk yarısında yaşamış divan şairlerindendir. Belli bir dönem Nakşî tarikatına intisap ederek bulunduğu dergâhta hem türbedarlık hem de şeyhlik yapmıştır. Şeyhi Ali Behçet Efendi’den sonra mezkûr tarikatta hilafet alan Rıfkî, devlet erkanı ile de yakın ilişkiler kurmuştur. Bu vesileyle yönetime yakın durmuş olsa da bazı dönemler yaşanan gözden düşme hadiseleri Rıfkî Mehmed Efendi’nin sıkıntılı süreçler yaşamasına sebep olmuştur. Şiirlerinin neredeyse tamamında tasavvuf konusunu işleyen Rıfkî, mutasavvıf bir şairdir. Şairin şiirlerinin toplandığı ve çalışmaya konu olan mecmua, İstanbul Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesinde “Mecmua-i Eş’ar-ı Rıfkı” ismiyle kayıtlıdır. Kaynaklarda müstakil bir eserinden bahsedilmeyen Rıfkî’nin şiirlerinin tanınması amacıyla bu çalışma hazırlanmıştır. Makalede, XIX. yüzyıl tezkirelerinde kendine yer bulan Rıfkî Mehmed Efendi’nin, biyografik kaynaklardan hareketle hayatı hakkında bilgi verilmesini müteakip bahsi geçen mecmua tanıtılmış ve şiirlerinin şekil özelliklerinin tespitinin yanında örnek beyitler eşliğinde muhtevaya dair bazı tespitlere yer verilmiştir. Makalenin sonunda Rıfkî’ye ait şiirler transkribe edilerek araştırmacıların istifadesine sunulmuştur.

Rıfkı Mehmed Efendi is a divan poet who lived at the first half of the 19th century. For a certain period, he attended in the Nakshi sect and served as a tomb keeper and a sheikh in his dervish lodge. Rıfko who took the caliphate in this sect after his sheikh Ali Behçet Efendi, also established close ties with state officials. Although he remained close to the government on this occasion, the events of disgrace at some periods caused Rıfkı Mehmet Efendi to experience troubled processes. Rıfkı is a sufi poet who deals with the subject of mysticism in almost all of his poems. The journal which the poet’s poems are collected and is the subject of the study, is registered in the Rare Works Library of Istanbul University with the name of “Mecmua-i Eş’ar-ı Rıfkı”. This study is prepared with the aim of recognizing Rıfkı’s poems, which are not mentioned in a seperate work in the sources. In this article, it will be informed about life of Rıfkı Mehmed Efendi who take place in biographies of the 19th century and this journal wil be introduced. In addition to the determination of shape feautures of the poems, the content will be determined accompanied by sample couplets. In the study, besides begining from Rıfkı’s poems, evaluations are made with the help of biographical sources dealing with the poet; it is tried to reach more detailed information about Rıfkı, his life and literary personality. In the text of the article, poems belonging to Rıfkı were transcribed and presented to the benefits of researchers.
